I’ve been lucky to work in some of the best and most creative independent retail shops and restaurants learning design, creativity, thinking on my feet, helping people solve their problems, and most importantly, working within constraints. Entrepreneurship was likely always in my blood, but every so often I’d attempt the straight and narrow “corporate path” thinking that was my way, my truth, and my light. Every time I was oh-so-very-wrong. I had been doing one-off organizing projects during grad school and absolutely loved the work but never considered making an official “go of it” until a few mentors literally said, “Katie, why are you not doing this? This is what you’ve always wanted to do.” Well alright then.

Back in the day, I lived in a teeny tiny little house in the charming Charlottesville neighborhood of Belmont. Despite being oblivious to my pending entrepreneurship, I knew that if I ever had a business I wanted to name it after that beloved residence because it was there where I learned to be thoughtful about what I owned, only keep that which I loved, and that everything had to have multiple uses.

I love helping people make the overwhelming a little less so and by restoring peace and order to their lives. Our unique system is working with clients to create a customized system that works best for them and the space it’ll be used in. We’re not into cookie-cutter solutions.
